Another Prominent Grappling Submission in the World of MMA: Ben Henderson's Flying Guillotine in WEC Lightweight Championship.

Chock another one up for BJJ/submission grappling in the world of MMA.

In round 3 of last night's WEC main event, Ben Henderson defeated Jamie Varner by flying guillotine choke. I wouldn't normally go out of my way to commend a guy for pulling off a guillotine submission (they are a little too commonplace in MMA in my opinion), but the spectacular nature of this one definitely calls for it. Henderson also displayed some smooth Nate Diaz-esque inverted guard play during the 1st round of the lightweight championship bout.

Great stuff, and it really goes to show that BJJ/grappling submissions are alive and well in the world of MMA.
