I'm not too familiar with Rhadi Ferguson. He seems like really intense guy. The kind of guy who wears a whistle around his neck at all times. I've had coaches like that over the years. Good times.
This was my first dose of Rhadi, and I think I'm quickly becoming a convert. Stop me if you think I'm making a mistake. Otherwise, get used to me calling out all grapplers for being pussies on a regular basis.
Ok, then, Pussy. Maybe it doesn't work for me.
Serious note: He makes some good points on an issue I see for a lot of grapplers - an lack of intensity (especially at key moments in a match/roll) and what I call "getting after it" (i.e., seeking positions and submissions with intensity). More on that in another post.
Thanks for sharing that. Bout time someone said it.
ReplyDeleteIf you don't like it, don't play. Nice. This guy definitely sounds hardcore.
ReplyDeletelol funny stuff coming from a guy who is a walking talking write-off, this guy has more injuries than a battered housewife...
ReplyDeletethe pussification of society has nothing to do with people talking about concussions in sport or parents coddling thier kids during practices, or even injuries in sport, it is really about clearly defined gender roles, which are rapidly dissappearing
calling people pussies for having concussions that are causing suicide and other things is ignorant, there's nothing glamorous about serious injuries, and brain trauma
unfortunately its not a gladiator sport, gladiator sports invovled slavery and fighting to the death at times, he obviously knows nothing about what he is talking about since gladiators were controlled by the biggest pussies of them all, slave drivers, that created teams of gladiators who were fighting against thier will, no point making slavery, football and mma more than what it is, a sport
rhadi is confused between a bunch of lyodd irvin marketing motivational smacktalk, hence the outliers reference, mixed with a hollywood mentality of what it takes to create soldier/warrior, yet he is too injured from his overtraining to actually make a good run at an mma career
go figure
lol this guy just likes saying the word pussy in a way that makes him look like he knows some shit
ReplyDeleteletting your infant daughter hit her head repeatedly to teach her a lesson is beyond stupid it's child abuse
kids aren't little warriors in training, lol some people shouldn't be alowd to have kids
not everyone wants thier 5 mins of fame, because if you doing it for fame you should quit before you start, not doin it for the right reasons, fame just another kind of greed
Thanks, Anonymouses. Good points.
ReplyDeleteClose call. I almost made this guy my personal guru. Now I need to apologize to the 25 people I called pussies yesterday. :)
Anonymous 1:
ReplyDeleteStop being a pussy. He puts blankets and pillows around so she doesn't hurt her head. Every parent I've seen has let their child fall when they start to learn to walk. Put them in a open space so they don't crack their head against something hard, then let them learn. Let. Them. Fall.
You talk about all those injuries....then don't play! Guess what? As an American Citizen I am free to make my own choices. If you don't want to compete at that level - with the associated risks - then don't compete at that level.
I believe we should inform young athletes of the risks, but adults can make their own decisions. But if you don't want to play, that has consequences as well. Don't get mad if you can't hang with the guys who go through hell to get where they are. 20 minute, 30 minute, 1 hour workout. 20 minute, 30 minute, 1 hour body. That simple.
Boy this guy seems worked up.
ReplyDeleteProbably jealous that he's not making MILLIONS of $$$ like his fellow "outlier" meat-heads in the NFL, etc. whose paydays make MMA salaries look like CHUMP CHANGE.
Personally, I like pussy training.
ReplyDeleteWithout it, there would be no friction when I enter between my wife's legs for evening "fun time."
You all are funny!
