BELT MEAN NO NEED ROPE HOLD UP PANTS.

Ok, grappler. You train BJJ.  You wear a gi.  For some reason, you don't know how to tie your damn belt.  It's totally understandable, if you have a 1st grade-level intelligence (or are in 1st grade) and/or only one arm.  Otherwise, I'm not sure what your problem is.  Fortunately, Rener Gracie is sympathetic to your affliction and has taken the time out of his busy day running the Gracie Jiu Jitsu empire to show you.

I, personally, go with the 4th option - total inversion (right over left, etc.) - but that's just me.  I'm sure Ed, Helio and Jigaro are spinning in their dojos (all due respect, of course).

Learn it!

  1. lol! I had to be shown a couple of times how to tie my belt when I first started. I blame it on the fact that I am a blonde. ;)

  2. I use all three variations, and like the "unbreakable knot" the best.

That's actually a pretty good tutorial. Well explained, shown in detail and he's funny, too. I also like all the reasons he gives using a blue belt.
