THE SIMPLER THE BETTER: ESCAPE FROM SIDE CONTROL.

In sport BJJ there are no points for escapes but, as we all know, they are the most fundamental, important and difficult moves in grappling.  Pedro Sauer faixa preta Mike Diaz, owner of Park City, Utah’s only BJJ academy, shows us a basic escape from the side mount.  The simpler the move, the easier it is to remember, so this move should be pretty effective and effortlessly recalled under stress.

I used to work in Utah but didn’t know Park City now had a BJJ school.  As I’ve been saying in these posts, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is truly everywhere in North America.  Park City has always been a paradise, now it’s one even more so; you can go there to train in Jiu Jitsu.
