When I saw that this video currently has about 7,800 views YouTube, I realized something. Either you have a sincere interest in Jiu Jitsu/wrestling mat construction and manufacturing OR you have some sort of crazy man crush on Rener Gracie. Don't get me wrong, the guy's charismatic. If he wasn't, would I have purchased the GJJ Limited Edition juicer?
But, this is a 13 minute exposition on how the GJJ mats are made.
By now, you should know I'm kidding (I have a Juiceman that works just fine). I, for one, as a long time consumer of mediocre mattage (and by that I mean I've roll a lot), found this video very educational. I'm going to share this video with my coach the next time I swallow a hair or other gross object stuck in between the 13 year-old square modular mats in my gym.
I particularly like how Rener gave us the finer details too (e.g., a 4" Velcro border), as if we were going to write it down as we would our auntie's enchilada recipe.
