If you’re in Jiu-Jitsu for some amount of time, you will get injured. It’s a truism as well known as, if you roll with Roger Gracie long enough, you will get mounted and choked. Often times its not how we’re injured, but how we deal with an injury that determines how we move forward.
Dr. Tom Deters talks (in a video for JiuJistuMania.com) in great detail about the ways to treat and and prevent injuries we, as grapplers, incur in training. This is a great lecture-type discussion with lots of solid advice. So, if your dealing with an injury or have recently (or if you want to prevent them in the future) pay close attention, and get the knowledge you need to get back in to your game.
