HEAVILY OUTWEIGHED, RAFAEL MENDES SUFFERS NARROW LOSS AT NO-GI WORLD PRO ABSOLUTE FINAL.

Rafael Mendes proved once again this weekend that in BJJ size matters not, grapplers.  The 65kg'er made it all the way to the Absolute finals at AD World Pro No-Gi and lost a judge's decision to the much larger, Rodolfo Vieira (92 kg).

Even though he missed out on the $15,000 cash prize, he's the winner in the DSTRYR/sg book (worth about $3 to $5 for sure).  What a guard game!

Check the entire match out at BJJ Fights here.

  1. Awesome. I have yet to do an absolute. I have to get in there for it. As a small guy like the Mendes brothers I can really respect his success.
