Rafael Mendes proved once again this weekend that in BJJ size matters not, grapplers. The 65kg'er made it all the way to the Absolute finals at AD World Pro No-Gi and lost a judge's decision to the much larger, Rodolfo Vieira (92 kg).
Even though he missed out on the $15,000 cash prize, he's the winner in the DSTRYR/sg book (worth about $3 to $5 for sure). What a guard game!

Awesome. I have yet to do an absolute. I have to get in there for it. As a small guy like the Mendes brothers I can really respect his success.
