Claudio Calasans has been on a BJJ killing spree for the last year. He's just won 2011 Pan gold and has qualified for the World Pro Championships, which he won last year, by winning two trials.

Calasans suffered a narrow 2-0 loss to one of the greatest-of-all-time, Marcelo Garcia, in last year's Worlds finals.  That narrow loss combined with all the momentum he's got this year, leaves us wondering if the Atos champ could win Worlds this year. The real question is - can anyone beat Marcelo?  I still say no, but we'll have to wait and see.  Until then, watch Calasans against 2009 Pan Champ Lucas Leite in the Pan middle weight final.
