ALEXANDER CRISPIM DARES YOU TO TRY AND KNEEBAR HIM.

Photo: Dave Mandel

Maybe it's just me, but I hate being kneebarred and I hate it when people attempt kneebars on me when rolling.  Even though I'm a black belt and it's totally permitted rule-wise, it just bums me out.  It kind of reminds me of the angry, irritated feeling I get when someone cuts me off on the freeway in gridlocked traffic or pays with a check at Trader Joes.  Are you that guy?

Maybe I'm emotionally unstable.  Or, maybe kneebars are just dumb.

But, now, thanks to MMA fighter, 2nd degree BJJ black belt and overall scary dude, Alexander Crispim, I've got some additional weapons in my arsenal to defeat the would-be kneebarer (let's just call him Dylan).

So, watch out Dylans.

  1. Im with you, although I am a blue I dont like kneebars. I dont like when new joins do it and it annoys me when higher belts do it to me. I know its part of bjj but something about it just screams out "prick move".
