DSTRYR/SG MOURNS. BROTHER IN GRAPPLING, RANDY "MACHO MAN" SAVAGE DIES AT AGE 58.

"I'm the tower of power, too sweet to be sour. I'm funky like a monkey. Sky's the limit and space is the place!" - Randy Savage

No.  I never thought it was real, but damn it was fun to pretend.  I haven't been a pro wrestling fan since I was a kid, but, like anyone, I'm always down to see a nicely performed folding-chair head smashing or a high quality pile driver, body slam or suplex.  Add that it's being performed "off the top rope" and I'm all over it.

Randy Savage died today.  He was not a BJJ guy or a submission grappler in context of our sport or what we usually talk about here.  But, he was a wrestler and we consider him a grappler.  Plus, he was f^&king cool and that makes a difference to us.  Perhaps he could have shown us a thing or two about catch (maybe not).  Either way, we are sad to hear he is gone.  So long, Macho Man.  We won't forget you ... "Oooohh Yeaah!!"

Oh, and please no Slim Jim jokes ... at least not while I'm in mourning.  It's too soon.
