Chess is not a game that I particularly enjoy (I'm more of a Trump kind of guy), but the control and strategy behind chess I absolutely love. Chess and BJJ have countless similarities, but their biggest difference is that Deep Blue can't tap anyone (Rimshot.)

In all seriousness BJJ, Chess is a great exercise both for physical and mental grappling development. I used to do this quite a bit as a white belt, but somehow forgot about it as I progressed through the ranks. Since my training over the last few months has decreased due to some injuries and work, the need for quality training is at a premium. Drilling the way shown in this video by Jiu Jitsu Mania does wonders for your game and you will notice a significant difference when you roll at normal speed. Give it a try, grapplers.
