RYRON GRACIE TALKS GRACIE BREAKDOWNS, GRACIE SMOOTHIES AND THE GRACIE WAY.

In 1990, our father created Jamba Juice to showcase the effectiveness [and tastiness] of smoothie making to the world.  - Kayron Perron, son of Kirk Perron, Founder of Jamba Juice

Like the Bros Gracie, I too follow techniques passed down generation to generation from my ancestors to me.  Unfortunately, these techniques are for tamale making and effectively surviving parole.  We can't all be Gracies.

Seriously, though - the Bros Gracie are genuinely sincere guys, who are carrying on a great tradition of honor, health and clean living with Jiu Jitz at its core.  This is a nice interview from Ariel Helwani primarily on the subject of the popularity of Gracie Breakdowns, but it that touches on the general philosophy of both Carlos and Helio Gracie.  Check it.

  1. Gotta love the Gracies and what they do, but there is a used car salesman vibe that I get from them.
My old Academy was like that in that everything was "secret" and no one ever told you about prices or competition even if you asked them. Is this just a jiujitsu thing?
