Lately I haven't had a lot of time to train and I tend to miss classes due to my work commute. Thanks to my friend Ruben, who is a BJJ brown belt and a Judo BB, I have been able to train at some weird times and pick up some great techniques. Recently, I asked him about the clock choke and how I found it difficult to finish on guys my size or larger. He decided to show me the Judo variation first hand by choking me time-after-time with his clock choke. I always thought I was good at escaping, but the small details he added made a huge difference. Take a look at this clock choke from Inner Strength Gym, which is the same one my boy Ruben uses.

*Note: A small detail not covered in the video - if you insert your inside knee into the space between your opponents knee and elbow then go for this choke, it's nearly impossible to escape and ridiculously tight.
