CHRISTIAN ROCKERY ASIDE, A PRETTY COOL MENDES BROS. HL.

Having a conversation about religion is about as treacherous as debating which late 1970's/early 1980's bodybuilder was the best (answer: Frank Zane).  It can divides us.  You say Islam.  Maybe I say Buddha (or Satan).  And, the Mendes Bros, they say Jesus.

But, Jiu Jitsu doesn't care.  It loves us all the same and embraces us with a nice warm and compassionate choke.  Check out this HL vid just released from team Mendes Bros.  Definitely not my 1st choice for music, but all the other elements are there, it's well made and, more than anything, it's great to see these bros in action.  They have God on their side and it's definitely helping their jitz - these brothers dominate. Enjoy it.

  2. Frank Zane is awesome: IMO, he achieved the ultimate physique. It's a shame that since then bodybuilding has aimed for increasingly grotesque size rather than Zane's perfect proportion.

Zane rocks. Religion, not so much.

  3. Of course we're in agreement on this one, Slidy. I expected noting less.

Also liked Franco Columbo and Arnold, of course. But, Zane was the best.

  4. Pumping Iron remains the greatest sports documentary in the history of the universe (made-up funeral-missing etc aside, which I guess would impact the whole 'documentary' side of things).

Christmas a few years ago was extra awesome, as I finally got my hands on the original book. :D

  5. My skin started burning when the chorus kicked in. Had to mute it. Hail Satan.
