THE DEVIL'S IN THE TRANSITIONS: MOUNT ESCAPE TO DEEP HALF SWEEP AND ARMBAR.

So grapplers, every day we give you videos that you're hopefully adding to your BJJ arsenal and applying on the regular.  I've found, however, that  often times these videos fail to address transitions leading in and out of the techniques. It's almost as if instructors (or video makers) expects you to fill in the blanks.  But, what I have found through years of experience is that the transition is as important, if not more important, than the technique itself.

Noah Spear address that very issue in this video. Our buddy, Ken Primola, and my former instructor and good friend, Noah Spear, show us a great way to escape mount, transition to deep half guard for a sweep and then sink in an armbar. Throughout the video, Noah mentions T. Catalano, who is another BJJ black belt and my very first BJJ instructor. Now that I am all warm and fuzzy inside, it's time to shut off "Will and Grace" and go train.
