IT'S POST INDEPENDENCE DAY, SO FREE YOUR MIND AND TRANSLATE SAKURABA HYPING DREAM.
The world may very well be divided between those of us who know about and cherish all things related to former Pride champion and current legend, Kazushi Sakuraba, and those who like [insert former NCAA wrestler turned UFC fighter here]. I'm sort of kidding, but the truth is, fighters like Sakaraba are a dying breed and the sport they fight it has less and less use for them (and their high flying, high risk styles). MMA fighting (especially in the UFC) has become more and more conservative and strategic, and in my opinion, less entertaining. It's all well and good. Things change and sports evolve, but one truth remains - no one sports a pro wrestling (Tiger or other) mask or anime regalia the way Saku did and continues to do.
These 2 DREAM promotional videos for the July 16, 2011 Bantamweight GP Final event featuring Sakuraba are awsm in many ways (killer mathcups, danceable music), but it's Saku's presence that brings everything together. I don't understand one word, but, I somehow know what he's talking about. I kind of like you being able to smell what The Rock was cooking (through your television).
