MAD JIU JITSU STYLE LIVES ON IN BILL COOPER.

Sure, winning is important and consistently winning championships is the mark of a great athlete.  But, we at DSTRYR/SG believe how you win (or even lose) is equally important.

Yeah, grappler.  I'm talking about style.  Some have it and some don't.  Bill Cooper has it and lots of it.  No, he hasn't won a world title yet (he took 2nd in 2008), but he's always a contender and, more importantly, the guy has insane style and incredible tenacity on the mat.

Watch these three matches from Cooper's recent go at Grapplers Quest on June 18 in Morristown, NJ.  He didn't face any of the world's best, but he won and he won with great style.

Notes:  Notice how Bill goes full mohawk, not bothering with the always whack fauhawk.  He's also complying with the DSTRYR/SG rules and is wearing a shirt in his no gi matches.  Not topless.  No spandex.

  4. Yes, they do, and we've called them out for this in the past. They're apparently not listening.

It's sadly pretty rampant in BJJ.
