PHUKET STYLE SAMBO THROW TO KIMURA FINISH.
There's nothing quite like the feeling of maximum humiliation one gets upon being submitted within seconds of the start of any fighting competition (e.g., BJJ/sub grappling tournament, MMA fight). It not quite getting a bucket of pigs blood poured on your head during your high school prom or allegedly peeing your pants on a movie set, but it's up there in overall self esteem grinding suckdom. I haven't actually experienced it personally, but I did get armbarred by a 17 year old at a national tournament once (and only once). I also used to wear turtlenecks, which is actually much more embarrassing.
We've wanted to show you some Sambo techniques from our friend, Silviu Vulc, Head MMA Coach/Trainer and Sambo Submission Wrestling Coach for Phuket Top Team (Thailand), for quite some time. That time is now. Check out a very practical, effective and applicable throw with a dangerous and immediate kimura follow up. What I like about this Sambo technique Silvui's employing is its usefulness in MMA and real fighting scenarios as compared to straight Sport Sambo. Great stuff.
