We are all acutely aware that the year's biggest submission grappling event (matched only by the IBJJF Worlds) takes place in less than 24 hours. ADCC is upon us and it shall be glorious. Go to Budovideos and lay down your $24.95 to stream it. If you don't have the money, I'm not sure what to tell you, grappler. Maybe you're twelve or you're just kind of a loser, freeloader type. That's OK. Just borrow the money from your grandmother (or any aged family member who will blindly give you money). She's know you're good for it (maybe).
We've established that watching ADCC is a prerequisite. It's shall be done. If, for some reason, you still haven't had your fill and you hunger for more ground combat goodness, then fear not. Sambo is here. Check out the promo for the first ever Professional Association of Sambo tournament going down tomorrow in Russia (of course). It looks pretty insane.
My Russian is pretty fuzzy (i.e., non-existent), but this looks to be the start of a pro circuit for Sambo and it live streams here (I think). I, for one, am watching all of it.
Oh yeah, and there's some kind of mixed martial arts (?) event going down as well. Kind of a flyer. Not sure that sport has much of a future.
