We're huge supporters of the World Pro Jiu Jitsu Championships.  Why?  Because we love to see the world's best Jiu Jitsu athletes treated as true professionals and given a platform on which to compete and display their amazing skills.   The 2012 World Pro, or WPJJC 2012 as they're calling it, began trials in September heading toward the championships April 13-15, 2012 in UAE.  Check out the schedule below at your leisure, grappler.

This past weekend, the WPJJC Warsaw trials went down.  Much action was had.  Check out a nice slow brun of a match between Eduardo "Teta" Rios and Lukasz Bagiński.  This one's kind of drag for a long time.  FF to 3:16 if you just want the meat and potatoes (more like half a potato).

  1. Damn, I left Korea too soon to do this. AND I left Socal to soon! Damn it.

  2. Not gunna lie, I never heard of the WPJJC before. Is this a relatively new event?

  3. What's the significance of the stars?

  4. Good question. They have to do with the levels and divisions that compete for each trial. I removed them, but you can read about it here:

  5. good luck with that. they rescheduled the san diego trials 2 weeks before the date. there's no word anywhere on the internetz about the pro trials allegedly happening this weekend in nyc. i started looking months ago for information.
plus, your gym has to be affiliated with uaejj to compete, on top of an individual competitor paying to be a member of uaejj, on top of paying your entry fee.

  6. ^^^Right on. Myself and like 5 from my academy finally just gave up on it. Too mysterious I guess. Call me paranoid but it seems they dont want alot of folks signing up I guess. Also Im not too keen on sending in a copy of my passport or passport number in order to register. Thanks but no thanks guys.

  7. Please send me info about registration 3-4 december 2011 Paris trail.
