THIS POST IS RATED CHOKEBALL, FOR MATURE AUDIENCES ONLY.

You may be asking yourself WTF is Choke Ball? Well we can tell you it's not listed on Wikipedia, we tried that already. Choke Ball is also not the name of an adult movie (although it definitely could be) and, lastly, it's not what  David Carradine was doing during his ill-fated Bangkok hotel room stay either.

If you guessed "game," you are indeed correct. It is a cross between dodgeball and jiu jitsu that I thought I would only encounter such a thing in a Rener Gracie bully combatives DVD. All joking aside, this looks like a lot of fun and Choke Ball could be a great break from the usual training routine. It could also be used as a tool to boost team moral and teamwork in addtion to the trust fall. Listen to Black Belt David Avellan (ADCC vet and victim of the Tree Trunk ) do the commentary of this years Team Lloyd Irvin Choke Ball Tourney.

  2. That's what I was wondering. That looks pretty fun, but from the short clip I'm unclear how you play. Still, the idea is interesting and they look like they had a blast.

  3. We played games like this during the pre-season back when i wrestled in high school. We called it football, same concept as this, we had to stay on our knees, and except of submissions you pinned opposing team members. We also played "Chess", two teams each with one "King". You win by pinning the king on the opposing team, if your pinned your out. Good stuff
