WHY? BECAUSE IT'S NATIONAL GUARD PASSING DAY (LOVATO JR. STYLE, THIS TIME).

I believe it was a Helio Gracie who once said "don't hate the guard game, hate the guard player."  I'm paraphrasing, but I'm pretty sure it's engraved somewhere at the Gracie Museum.

Jiu-Jitsu blasphemy aside, it's pure coincidence that we're featuring two great guard passing techniques on the same day.  Or is it?

If you've spent any time here, you know by now that we are big on Rafael Lovato Jr., or RLJ as we like to call him.  Why?  because he's super technical, always lays it on the line against the world's best (check his stats; they are amazing) and because his style is complex, but not fancy or inaccessible in any way.  Check out the 2011 No-Gi World Champ going over a couple very solid bread 'n butter passes.  Quality stuff.
