MY BOLO, MY BOLO, MY LOVELY BERIMBOLO.

We have commented on the Berimbolo(a) countless times on our site. Sometimes it involves a last minute Berimbola to win a championship other times it's a tutorial on drilling the DLR hook in order to start the Berimbola. We work our hardest to provide you with such things. Now despite the technique's popularity, and Jiu Jitsu cult appeal, there are way more how-to instructionals than how-the-hell-do-I-get-out-of-this videos. So of course we are here to rescue you from the depths of inverted backtakes and provide you with a slick tutorial from Checkmat Amazona. Professor Carlos Holanda has a rather simple but truly awesome defense against those annoying white belt Berimbola afficionados. He even sets up some attacks from the defense which will surely make your opponent question the moves vulnerability.

  1. Grappling bros, I think you need to check to see if you embedded the video properly. I see nothing but the snappy Twister banner.

  2. not a fan of this technique since i want my jiu jitsu to work even in a street fight and seems to risky to go on your neck like this

  3. Useful info for those who hate getting "tricked" by the infernal berimbolo. Too bad it's not in English. Also, if you drop down and turn, do you give up points (counted as a sweep for your opponent)?
