PASS DE LA RIVA AND PROCEED TO CHOKE.

This week Master Ricardo Cavalcanti shows us how to pass the De La Riva guard utilizing a leg drag to pass, mount and finish off with a triangle.  This is serious Grade A badass modern BJJ, grapplers.  If you're not learning these kinds of techniques or, at minimum, getting exposed to them (like you are now), your BJJ will be stuck in early May 2012.  Don't let that happen!

The leg drag is being employed frequently and effectively in today's cutting edge BJJ to pass sophisticated open guards like the butterfly, lasso-type, and DLR guards (to name a few).  It's been battle tested by world champions, including Andre Galvao and the Brothers Mendes, and it's rapidly being learned and used in competition everywhere.  Check it out and get used to it.  It's how you'll be passed eventually.
