For a long time ... well, before I started formally grappling, I remember hearing the name Ryan Hall. The first time I had the opportunity to catch a video of Ryan, my mouth dropped in awe. He was doing moves I had never seen before, let alone attempted, and catching guys twice his size, age and experience in nasty submissions. For many years now, Ryan has been considered one of the most competitively successful American-born Jiu-Jitsu players in the world. He is also regarded as one of the best lightweight grapplers in the world with his 2009 ADCC Bronze medal and laundry list of other championships and achievments.

Ryan is a Felipe Costa Black Belt and now represents Team Marcelo Garcia. Take a look at this candid interview and seminar with the Ryanangle done by the Coops (yet again; big thanks to Stuart for another fine BJJ film).  Sit back, put your mouthpiece in and enjoy.

  1. Good video.
It's actually pretty old though, I remember watching this months ago.
Glad to see Ryan repping with MG now who's an Alliance affiliate
