Grappler, never mind that this is a video of a little 12-year old girl choking the crap out of a little boy. No. And, pay no attention to the fact that she actually chokes the little guy so hard that he's crying. Sure, it's a moment of female empowerment and, yeah, it's kind of funny to see a girl beat a boy in to tears like this. But, as low-minded as we all are (and we are), I'm seeing the bigger picture here. This kid has got some pretty kickass Jiu Jitsu!
I've been training BJJ for a long, long time, and I've seen all sorts of dudes come and go. You know the story. People don't stick with it. They get little injuries, take time off, lose interest, get married, have kids ... the list of excuses/reasons is endless. I don't know how many years this Jesse Khan has been training, but she's got some mad skills and it's clear from watching her compete that she's dedicated to BJJ.
OK. Now, let's mock that poor little boy for crying!
I feel dirty for laughing.
ReplyDeletemade him cry, brutal.
ReplyDeleteDDDAAAAAAAMMMMMMNNNNNNNN!!!!
ReplyDeleteBoys not being supposed to cry is a stupid recent tradition that should be abolished.
ReplyDeleteits not a recent tradition. this is a very old tradition...in all countries.
Deleteboys shouldn't cry. we're men, we make our own beef jerky, we shit with the door open, go on riverboat gambling trips, that's what we do.
ReplyDeletethis girl is gonna be the next ronda rousey
I staff at least 4-5 local tourneys a year and crying is fairly predictable in the youth/juniors divisions. I only cringe when it's a grown ass man crying after losing...especially the one time he was a guy from my own gym! :'(
ReplyDeletei saw this girl, 14 i think, from yamasaki academy storming through an adult women's division at a us grappling submission only tournament.
ReplyDeleteI know this young Athlete! Jessa is a part of our organization. U should see all of her belts and medals!
ReplyDeleteHer name is Jessa, not Jesse, and she its pretty amazing.
ReplyDeleteSo mock a child, how unprofessional of you? You must not have attended many tournaments, kids at 8 and 9 cry all the time. They work so hard and put so much into this sport that it is very upsetting to them to lose. They train hard and they compete. It means alot for them to win and when they dont they are upset. THEY ARE ONLY LITTLE KIDS YOU KNOW.....
