I'm like you, grappler.  I like to think I'm all the right things to be in tip top shape.  I restrict my diet (we're talking about a lot of broccoli here); I train a lot of BJJ.  And, yeah. I do plenty of kettlebell workouts and all that stuff too.  But, when I see Steve Maxwell ... well, I just get sad, because he kicks so much ass and I realize I could be doing 100 times more.

It doesn't help that Steve is 60 years old and has been involved in BJJ for a couple decades now.  That just makes me feel worse.  His abs are make of steel and mine are made of something between Styrofoam and plastic (which, is not bad).  I honestly don't know what a regular Janda sit-up is, nor do I really know much about my transversus abdominis muscle (except that it could be stronger and more six-packy).  But, I know Steve is an excellent source of information and education for any athlete who's looking to improve his/her fitness.  He's a true fitness guru (especially for combat athletes).  Check it out.
