A few year's ago, I would have applauded anyone's successful attempt at thwarting the De La Riva Guard.  I was a non-believer and, like a lot of people, my first reaction was to shut that thing down.  For non-Creationists out there, I imagine my response was much like the Neanderthal's first reaction to the Cro Magnon man, which I imagine was to smash his brains in with the biggest rock available.  But, eventually, I'm sure Neanderthal, realizing he was a moronic simpleton, was jealous of the Cro Mag.  And, well, look what happened to Neanderthal.

4th Grade anthropology aside, let's get down to the matter at hand.  Yeah, it's another counter to the DLR. Although this time it's a slick and unexpected footlockoff of an opponent's Reverse DLR guard position (brought to us via the guys at Classy Grappler), these days I'm more likely to be the guy on the bottom working that DLR.  Like we say around here, it's good know both offensive and defensive sides.  So, check it.
