Luta Livre has long been know as BJJ's evil little cousin. LL used to be looked down upon for it's lack of social status (originally the poor trained LL since it did not require an expensive gi or uniform) as well as it's anything goes submission repertoire.

What many don't know is that Luta Livre is alive and strong throughout Europe and has been growing steadily in Germany and France. Flavio Santiago is a Luta Livre Black Belt from Brazil and he now makes his home in France. He is teaching the Brazilian way to break and choke people without hesitation. Check out his no gi version of the triangle from the back that will come in handy next time you hit the mats.
