By now, as the holidays fade away like a fantastical unicorn-based dream, all us are back to our daily routines. Maybe you're sitting in the break room now, taking your 15. In a few minutes you'll be right back to your glorious career, slogging away to make some money to support your grappling lifestyle. It's a beautiful thing.
At the same as all of us are "workin' for the man" to keep our children in Shoyorolls, others are living the life trying to make it as MMA fighters in Phuket, Thailand. I'm talking about this kickass documentary series from MMA/BJJ filmmaker and friend of the DSTRYR/SG family, Stuart Cooper. It features the trials (or tryouts) of 12 fighters competing for a scholarship to train at the Tiger Muay Thai MMA camp and "stars" head MMA coach, Brian Ebersole, and Roger Huerta. If you haven't seen Episodes I and II, check them out.
Episode III, particularly at the beginning, focused on MMA grappling and the coaching of Fernando Maccachero of Brazilian Top Team. Very entertaining stuff and, as always, beautifully shot and edited..
