|It's actually both: a croissant is a buttery flaky viennoiserie bread roll named for its well known crescent shape.|
I don't want to sound like the grappler who cries wolf, but this roll sesh between Bill Cooper and Rafael Mendes is some seriously necessary viewing for all of you. It's true, just a week or so ago, we made a huge deal about the roll between Marcelo and Lovato Jr. and it was in fact a glorious and magnificent thing. But, this is too.
This is a great roll to watch, for me at least, because it not only gives us a glimpse of two world class guys training, but it also reveals something about styles clashing. The UFC always talks about how "styles make fights," but it hold true in BJJ too. I don't want to give it away (because you should experience this your own way) but this really illustrated to me how Bill's ultra-physical, tenacious style may have hindered him against the crypto, magical stylings of world champion, Rafael Mendes. See what you think. We're fans of both guys and their respective styles and would love to see how them roll again.
