Burton Richardson is probably not a name your familiar with unless your a huge martial arts nerd - cough, cough. He is a true master amongst masters, and is probably one of the most knowledgeable and accomplished martial artists in the world. His accomplishments include a wide variety of instructorships and blackbelts under the worlds best. Grappling-wise, he was one of Egan Inoue's first black belts and he has trained extensively with Larry Hartsell - another name you might not know, but will soon, in an upcoming post. He is also responsible for Chris Leben's continual growth in the submission game.
Enough backstory, it's time for the meat and potatoes, or for some of you, hemp force protein, and grassfed buttered coffee. Check out Stephen Kesting's recent interview with the legendary Burton Richardson where he speaks about training and performance under pressure. Unfortunately, an all to often forgotten about aspect of combat training or self defense.
