YOU'LL NEVER GATAME - ARM ATTACKS FROM JUDO.

You think guard play only existed when the Gracie's invented it? Think again my friends. The Juji Gatame (armlock) has been a staple of Japanese newaza in JuJutsu/Jiu Jitsu/Judo for centuries. In these arts the armlock is often hit immediately from a guard pull or used after throwing your opponent to the mat. Judo rules call for just a few seconds of ground fighting, so attacks are fast and brutal - think Ronda's armbars.

Check out René Nazaret showing off his sweet moves which include the Juji Gatame, Hiza Gatame, Hara Gatame and Ashi Gatame along with their counters and escapes - all from the art that started it all.
