YOUR GUARD'S ABOUT TO GET PASSED? DON'T SCOOT WHEN OUGHTA SHRIMP.

That's right, grappler.  Some of you are not taking getting your guard passed seriously enough.  And, you're screwing up big time.  But, Jason Scully is here to give you a method, a blueprint.  A simple way to tell when you are playing guard and all is cool, and when you are about to get smoked (i.e., passed) and all is no longer cool.

Jason's got it right.  A lot of us, erroneously play from inferior positions as if we're safe, not heeding the warning until it's too late.  In the case below, Jason is addressing the common mistake of the guardplayer waiting until too late before he/she acts with urgency to escape from a pass. It also happens to a grappler in the guard who fails to see he's about to be swept and continues a plan of attack that actually benefits his opponent.  Don't do that, grappler.  Do something else.  Watch this smart explanation from Jason and learn a thing or two.
