Long before there was even a concept for DSTRYR/SG, there was Aesopian.com, a blog created by then-purple belt (now black belt), Matt Kirtley. Matt created Aesopian before YouTube instructionals were commonplace. iPhones were slower and clumsier and people still used Blackberrys. Starbucks lattes were slightly cheaper. Bush was still President. Unemployment rates were higher and housing prices were in the pooper. You were still learning Kung Fu by watching old Bruce Lee movies and old David Lee Roth videos. It was different time.
And, Aesopian has stood the test of time as one of the best online resources for technique in BJJ. Now, Matt's working with Artechoke Media to create and release a crucifix and revere omoplata instructional. He's raising funds via indiegogo here. That's where we come in. The BJJ community is strong, committed and conscientious. Let's help Matt raise the funds he needs to blow the doors off this instructional and in return get some terrific technique from one the most learned, almost encyclopedic, minds in the sport.
