ABOUT

DSTRYR: I'm a BJJ black belt and instructor and have been training for the past 12 years at STREET SPORTS BJJ (Santa Monica, CA), under my coach, RENATO MAGNO.

DSTRYR/sg is 100% devoted to all things tied to the world of BJJ/submission grappling, and we've been going strong since June 2009.  On January 3, 2011, we joined the newly formed Middle Easy Network.  The rest is history in the making.

Notes: (1) All designs are of my creation for your amusement and consumption; (2) Very little here is taken seriously, except, of course, for our training and firm belief that jiu jitsu is pretty much the most important thing in life.

DICTATOR:
I am a BJJ brown belt with over 10 years of experience in Jiu Jitsu and a Sankyu brown belt in Kodokan Judo. I have also trained in: Muay Thai and Krabi Krabong in Thailand; Jeet Kune Do Concepts and Kali/Filipino martial arts under Dan Inosanto; Shooto under Sensei Yori Nakamura and Erik Paulson; Savate, Escrima and Panantukan under Mark Stewart and Guro Ted LucayLucay. Moving to Los Angeles and studying martial arts, particularly the systems related to the JKD Concepts, has changed my life.

DEMOLISHERI'm a Leo, I like long walks on the beach, and spaghetti by candlelight. Currently I'm a purple belt under Vicente Junior, a 3rd degree black belt under Ricardo De la Riva.
I also train in Krav Maga and hope to one day own my own school of self defense. I love teaching and I feel very strongly about training/teaching in arts that use techniques that are applicable to real life situations.

I am absolutely obsessed with grappling and have an extensive library of books, videos, and dvds. Most of my free time is dedicated to studying the arts that I love and practicing them on my unwilling girlfriend when she's sleeping or making dinner.

sgCRSHR:  Hi everyone, I'm sgCrshr and I'm a recovering alcoholic. Wait... wrong group. Forget I even said that. I've been wrestling since 2000.  I started submission grappling in 2004 with Nam Phan, headed out to Alan Goes' school for a bit, until I found my home and my first GI with Cleber Luciano 2007 (whom I've conned into giving me a purple belt).  I also train in the ancient and graceful art of Putasos which works well with the teachings of Rafael Cordeiro at the Kings MMA/Muay Thai.
When it’s all said and done I'm hoping to get a hold of a black belt, move to some remote island out in the Pacific to open a school and transform the natives into grappling machines. After a few years of teaching and sucking everyone on that island in to my brainwashing... errrrr... curriculum, I will form an army of super grapplers that can slap a flying gogoplata on anyone at the snap of a finger and that right there... that is how I will take over the world. Feel free to contact me if you want to join the cause.
